Using ProEngineer 3D CAD, mechanical sketch concepts were developed for proof of principle models, rapid prototypes for performance evaluation and patient handling trials.
The CAD assembly model confirmed critical fit, checked assembly issues and provided visuals for marketing ahead of production.
Fully detailed part data for costing, tool design, mouldflow analysis and injection mould tooling were available from an early stage.
